Associate Director / Director at FC Capital A great opportunity to join FC Capital as an Associate Director to lead our Deal Execution function within our Investment Team. FC Capital is an Australian based financial services company with a focus on Australasian private debt investments and funds management. The firm is headquartered in Sydney and has a support office in Manila.

The Associate Director, Deal Execution will primarily focus on the end-to-end execution of FC Capital's direct lending transactions across structured finance, asset backed lending and acquisition and leveraged finance. Responsibilities will cover the entire deal lifecycle from initial deal screening and evaluation, credit analysis and structuring, loan documentation negotiation and execution through to post-execution loan management including the eventual refinancing/divestment of investments. She/he will work closely with the other Associate Directors and Directors in the Investment Team and be supported by junior members of the Investment Team.
Responsibilities Screening and evaluating direct lending transactions including their compliance with various investment mandates.Producing detailed indicative term sheets and investment papers for new lending opportunities.Conduct detailed due diligence and review of forward-looking credit analysis, along with necessary financial modelling, to provide insight into clients' industries and the key business and financial risks they face.Presenting expert credit advice and detailed transaction analysis through comprehensive investment cases to senior management and the Credit & Investment Committee.Take a lead role in managing legal documentation negotiation and execution.Manage the settlement of transactions while ensuring that the correct deal execution processes and procedures are followed.Proactively manage relationships with existing and potential borrowers.Analysing bolt-on investments and capital projects of existing borrowers.Monitoring loan performance and borrower adherence with financial covenants.Reviewing reporting and analysis of loan performance.Preparation of in-house presentations and reports.Provide effective leadership of the team including the timely and appropriate mentoring and development of junior team members.Working closely with key internal stakeholders, including credit, risk, legal, compliance and finance as required.Experience & Qualifications 7+ years' relevant experience in direct lending at commercial banks, non-bank lenders, investment banks or debt advisory firms (corporate lending, asset-backed loans or securitisations).Transaction experience across debt, equity and venture capital would be viewed favourably.Candidates with commercial/corporate banking experience are preferred.Excellent credit risk analysis skills covering both qualitative and quantitative analysis including financial analysis, legal structures, valuation analysis, financial modelling skills and appropriate deal structuring.Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in working with new and innovative structures and solutions.Excellent credit submission writing skills with a proven ability to present complex concepts to both clients and stakeholders in plain English.Highly proficient in MS Excel with an ability to navigate through financial models, as well as other MS programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).Excellent time and project management skills and demonstrated clarity in thinking when dealing with multiple work streams and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Ability to challenge status quo and deliver continuous process and return improvement.Full Australian working rights.Education An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in relevant discipline (commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, law or engineering). A membership of professional body is favoured but not essential.
Remuneration Experience and market based base salary + superannuation + performance-based bonus.
