You may not have all the technical skills yet, but you have the personality and the ability and desire to learn from the incumbent in quick time.If you are currently a chief corporate accountant, the pathway to CFO could be even faster (and remuneration higher).This role would obviously suit someone in a similar role and looking to advance quickly, or someone with the majority of technical skills and the aptitude to learn fast.If you have:5 or more years of experience in investment management or financial services.Professional qualification - CPA, CA or equivalent.Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, fund accounting principles, and financial regulations across Australia, the UK, and Singapore.Practical experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and risk management.The Corporate Accounting responsibilities would include:Manage the accounting and financial reporting processes for entities across Australia, UK, USA, and Asia, ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.Coordinate tax compliance and strategy (tax planning), including the preparation and filing of tax returns and managing tax audits.Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.Provide financial analysis, forecast reporting, and support to the CFO and senior management.Supervise and mentor other accounting members.As previously stated, if you are the right person and have most of the technical skills, you will be taught the rest. However, this role would only suit someone who is genuinely cut out to be a future CFO.
