The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking to appoint an Associate Director, Commercialisation & IP for the Office of Business Engagement & Commercialisation within the Research and Innovation Portfolio.
The Associate Director, Commercialisation & IP will be responsible for implementing strategic and operational management opportunities and relationships that facilitate the University's broader engagement with external stakeholders, commercial business entities, government initiatives, and other research organisations.
The Associate Director, Commercialisation & IP shall provide leadership, mentoring and advice to a cross-disciplinary and highly-skilled commercialisation team including shaping and closing of business agreements. The Associate Director, Commercialisation & IP will consult with a range of internal stakeholders to inform and drive a, high-level strategic approach for marketing and commercialisation of ANU technologies. Associate Director, Commercialisation & IP will lead the development of project based commercial business relationships between the ANU and industry and other external parties globally.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated a high level of achievement in the management of innovation activities in a large organisation, with a proven record of obtaining industry, government and investment funds to support intellectual property development through to its translation for impact. In addition to that, the successful candidate will have proven experience in high level relationship management, commercialisation, education and training.
