About the role The Associate Director, Business Development plays a key role in implementing strategic business development initiatives that support the organisational strategy to drive institutional growth and strategic commercial initiatives.
The initial focus of the role will be building out foundational processes to identify and manage complex commercial transactions including due diligence processes across financial, legal, operational and strategic dimensions.
Alongside this, the incumbent will lead pipeline development through relationship cultivation, deal sourcing and data tracking of relevant transactions in the market to identify opportunities for investment or to establish new business lines across 3 pillars – Places, Partners and People.
A senior leader within the Corporate Development group, the role will also build and lead a Business Development team of professionals that will support transactional activity from inception to execution across the group.
About you You are an experienced business development professional and likely to have had senior exposure within a leading consulting firm, investment bank, corporate development team or start-up environment within your career.
Future-focused with exceptional stakeholder management skills, you present with intelligence and credibility, and your natural influencing style allows you to engage cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.
You are a critical thinker with expertise developing information systems to inform strategy implementation and leading commercial negotiations and partnerships in complex environments.
A trusted partner, you have demonstrated ability to lead key transaction workstreams, provide proactive advice and execute priority transactions.
You have a track record leading a high-performing Business Development team that fosters innovation and positive stakeholder engagement to pursue a dynamic agenda in this purpose-led environment.
