Reporting to: Marketing Manager, Oceania
Job Purpose As an Associate Category Manager, you will support the Taste & Wellbeing (T&W) portfolio within Oceania, implementing strategies and running assigned Category & Customer activities to ensure Givaudan's leading position within the Beverage, Food and FNI categories, and our distributor (IMCD), according to our goals and the Oceania B2B marketing strategy.
Core Responsibilities Support category strategies, priorities and action plansDevelop understanding of assigned customer brands, strategies and categoriesConduct market analysis to provide input for the Oceania B2B Marketing strategy for account development plansIdentify business opportunities through market analysis in assigned categories and alongside with the Marketing ManagerReview, plan and implement strategies for assigned categories, through analysis of customer products, growth rates, shares, new product introductions and competitive landscapeSupport Country Marketing Manager on category insights and customer presentationsFulfil Oceania commitments with the APAC region including meetings, roadmaps and proactives for assigned categories, building important contacts with the APAC R&I teamBe a market insights champion for both internal and external market analysis tools (e.g.
Euromonitor, Mintel & Global Data), to support the Givaudan commercial teamEngage with Sales as assigned to provide marketing support for targeted customersDevelop relationships with Sales targets and assigned customers, and help coordinate and implement customer B2B marketing activitiesEnsure that customers know and understand our capabilitiesBuild the Givaudan Brand in Oceania, by ensuring Oceania activities align with our Taste & Wellbeing Division and Segment Branding and Positioning.Lead the development of Oceania product or brand concepts to be presented to target customersParticipate in customer briefsConduct customer insight presentations, innovation days and facilities tours for assigned categoriesDevelop Regional "proactive" go-to-market plans where relevant, based on voice-of-the-customer, technical capability/relevance and sales team feedback for assigned categoriesCommercialization opportunity assessments, development and delivery of presentationsPrepare and deliver capability presentations and prepare promotional material for target customer visitsEnsure that our products, technology and concepts are translated to be relevant to the customers' brands, local marketsDeliver customer presentations on new technologies when assigned by Country Marketing ManagerBuild an ongoing pipeline of customer trend, capabilities and new ideas presentations according to global and regional priorities and account plansMain Requirements University level on a technical or commercial background (food science or chemistry or business/economics)2 to 3 years experience in market, data, or consumer analysisCategory, Insights, Sales or B2B Marketing experience with a know how of B2C Marketing in an international environmentWe welcome applicants from Food Technology, R&D, Innovation background who is keen on market analysis workExperience in Food & Beverage or related industry would be an advantageAt Givaudan, you contribute to delightful taste and scent experiences that touch people's lives.
