The position is based in their Wealth and Risk team, where you will collaborate closely with four Accounting Partners and the Head of Financial Planning. You will attend client meetings to build and strengthen relationships, contributing to tailored financial strategies that meet the specific needs of clients. This role is ideal for those looking to progress from paraplanning to an advisory position, with an opportunity to undertake the Professional Year (PY) training if required.
Key Responsibilities:Participate in joint client meetings with senior advisers, directors, and consultants for both new and existing clients, fostering strong client relationships.Develop and document financial strategies focused on wealth creation, superannuation and risk insurance, ensuring alignment with clients' goals and objectives.Conduct comprehensive fact-finding, analyse client needs, and prioritise recommendations to help them achieve their financial aspirations.Prepare advice requests (SoA or RoA) for internal paraplanners, ensuring clear and accurate documentation.Assist in the presentation of strategic advice to clients, ensuring clarity and understanding.Take charge of pre-meeting preparations, as well as compiling notes and action points for Client Service Officers following client consultations.Conduct regular client portfolio reviews, providing strategic recommendations and adjustments as required.Participate in quarterly Investment Committee meetings, contributing insights and expertise.Minimum Requirements:Proficiency in MS Office 365 and Xplan, with strong technical and administrative skills.Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing client needs.Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative.Prior experience in a professional financial planning environment, in roles such as Client Service Officer, Paraplanner or Associate.Ability to assist senior advisers in gathering client information and formulating strategic financial models using tools like Xplan, Wealth Solver and Risk Researcher.Experience in preparing investment recommendations, client reports and managing Centrelink entitlements.This firm is renowned for its unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
