Assistant Winemaker

Fermoy is a small, family-owned boutique vineyard and winery based in the heart of Wilyabrup in the Margaret River Wine Region. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Assistant Winemaker to join our small team. The role will be a hands-on winery position, assisting the Senior Winemaker in all aspects of wine production.The successful applicant will have a relevant skill-set, be self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, and have passion and pride in their work.This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to be exposed to all facets of grape and wine production and be part of a small, hard-working, and tight-knit production team.Key responsibilities include:Assisting Senior Winemaker with all aspects of the winemaking process - from fruit receival through to bottling.Working closely with other members of the cellar team to ensure all work is done in a timely and proper manner.Laboratory work, record-keeping and administration, general trade & PR work.Skills and Attributes required:Physically fit and willing to undertake physically demanding tasks.Willing to work outdoors in variable weather conditions.Be a team player with strong communication skills & ability to work well in a small team.Strong work ethic, with pride in performance.A qualification in Oenology & Viticulture.Driver's Licence and own transport.Forklift Licence and experience.This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday-Friday.
