We are looking for an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager who is seeking a rewarding, long-term, and permanent role in a growing company.
We are seeking a positive, motivated person with previous warehouse leadership experience to lead the team and ensure that the warehouse operates smoothly and efficiently.
You will be required to assist with the management of the warehouse & logistics operations, whilst supporting a team of warehouse staff - ensuring delivery of products to our customers. A tight inventory control in a highly seasonal, fast-moving consumer goods warehousing & coldroom environment will need to be maintained. You will optimise the efficiency of the warehouse while ensuring adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Support 'Best Practice' warehouse and site management systems that optimise stock movement and warehouse layoutAssist the Warehouse Manager with planning and directing all phases of product distributionDelegating & planning the assignment of work to ensure the efficient use of personnel and equipmentEvaluating and recommending shipping deadlines and taking corrective action as required to meet objectivesRecommending changes in distribution techniques and practices where necessaryDeveloping and recommending improvements in warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.Manage and promote company QA and WHSEnsure the efficient and prompt receipt of all inbound shipments to ensure that all stock is available as quickly as possibleCoordinate stock transfers across AustraliaLiaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companiesInventory Control including maintaining stock control, controlled storage and handling, and regular stocktakingFacilitate and streamline warehouse processes, safety, and systemsEnsure compliance with all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirementsMaintaining both external (Customer) and internal working relationshipsManage staff training requirementsMaintenance of property plant and equipmentRequirements: Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar roleProven experience introducing and delivering new systems and procedures that promote continuous improvementForklift Licence and high reach experienceExceptional people leadership and business management skillsHigh level attention to detailDrivers LicenceExcellent written, verbal, negotiation, and all-round interpersonal skills.What we offer: An evolving and growth business where your input and expertise are valuedGrowth and development opportunities including expansion of your knowledge of cheese with regular cheese tastings!Thank you in advance for your application.
