On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Assistant Vice President, Solution Architect.Responsibilities:Lead the enterprise-wide global IT function including strategic alignment and planning, governance, architecture, information management, solution delivery, service management, and day-to-day operations of the global network, storage, and telecommunications infrastructure.Partner with senior executives to develop and implement an IT strategy including a current and future state IT architecture and system roadmap to scale with the company's growth plans.Support senior leaders with insight and direction on emerging technologies that support the company's key business objectives.Build credibility and influence through thorough understanding of business strategy, the program portfolio, and effective relationship and stakeholder management.Lead a team responsible for the technical infrastructure across a global organization to ensure optimal performance, including cutting-edge enablement of a geographically dispersed and hybrid workforce.Ensure data integrity and connectivity of enterprise-wide IT systems, allowing for maximum automation and integration of internal and external data reporting requirements within current enterprise systems.Help determine capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment. Oversee and manage the IT budget, inventory, and ongoing expenditures.Coach, mentor, and provide development opportunities for the IT team; foster a culture of innovation, candor, and accountability.EducationBachelor's degree or higher qualification desirable. Industry experience may substitute.An advanced degree is highly desirable.Ideal Experience:Fifteen or more years of progressively responsible technology leadership roles.Ideally, previous experience as a CIO or divisional CIO.Proven track record of implementing a transformation strategy in a multinational company and driving business value through technology transformation.Functional leadership across multiple technology domains including applications, infrastructure, data, analytics, and digital.Demonstrated leadership in building and developing a technology organization.Experience with organizations in excess of 100 full-time employees.Robust experience in the business and operations of information technology including business analysis and design, operations, fiscal efficiency, organizational development, change management, people leadership, and external vendor management.Critical Leadership Capabilities:Ability to create a two to three-year roadmap or blueprint to implement the enterprise technology strategy.Identifies and prioritizes the most critical future factors to consider in making decisions.Makes plans to address changes or trends in the external landscape (i.e., competitors, clients, and market segments) that affect own business or area.Driving Results:Acts to surpass team goals, seizing opportunities to extend the limits of what is possible.Sets continually higher goals for the team that are ambitious but achievable.Identifies and acts on new opportunities that enable performance targets to be exceeded.Seeks new challenges and is energized by exceeding targets.Collaborating and Influencing:Identifies all necessary stakeholders and connects with them to gain support or agreement.Negotiates with a genuine give-and-take approach that takes all parties' perspectives into account.Takes advantage of opportunities to build strategic relationships to achieve a specific outcome.Engages others in open dialogue and adapts own influence approach to different stakeholders in ways that address their interests or concerns.Anticipates emerging or potential conflicts among all stakeholders and takes steps to pre-empt them.
