DescriptionAbout the Company On the corner of St Georges Terrace and Barrack Street in the heart of Perth, stands the historic State Buildings. This collection of iconic heritage buildings has been revitalised and transformed, delivering a vibrant cultural destination in which to eat, drink and stay.
The precinct has become one of the city's favourite meeting places and is home to an award-winning collection of restaurants and bars, including Petition Kitchen, Beer Corner, Wine Merchant, Long Chim, Shop 1875, Wildflower, Cape Arid Rooms, POST Osteria & Bar and more.
Position The team at Post are searching for a dynamic and experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the Operations Manager in overseeing multiple spaces within the organisation, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all locations. This role will provide leadership, manage finances, and maintain workplace health and safety standards to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise daily operations of the venue, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and guest satisfaction goals.Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team and staff members across various locations. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and provide coaching and feedback as needed.Drive a positive, inclusive staff culture by leading by example and inspiring staff members, embracing our purpose of 'creating exceptional experiences' for both staff and guests.Monitor financial performance, analyse revenue and develop strategies to improve profitability. Control costs, manage budgets, and implement effective inventory management practices.Maintain and enforce quality control standards, including food safety and sanitation protocols, to ensure compliance with local health regulations and company standards.Continuously seek ways to improve the dining experience, gather customer feedback, and implement appropriate actions to address concerns and enhance guest satisfaction.Analyse data and generate regular reports to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to workplace health and safety. Conduct regular inspections, implement corrective actions, and provide training on safety protocols.Skills Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with guests.Ability to inspire and lead a team towards common goals, strong communication skills, and strategic decision-making abilities.Qualifications Obtained an RSA Certificate and Approved Managers Licence.Willing to obtain Food Safety Certificate.Previous management/team leading experience.A strong hospitality background.Working for the State Buildings gives you access to desirable benefits, such as:
