Assistant Unit Manager

Exciting opportunity for an experienced village or facilities manager local to Karatha to join the ESS team! THE POSITION Closely supporting & relieving the unit manager with day-to-day operations of all village functions including – catering, housekeeping, administration, facilities maintenance, grounds/ gardening, security & offsite catering. Maintaining and improving consistent catering presentation and food safety standards Driving new systems targeted at service delivery and waste minimisation Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our safety performance Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation Secondary ownership and accountability of site KPI's & operations targets Staff engagement and development, modelling positive working relationships, demonstrating trust, care and respect Champion community engagement & events. Monthly, quarterly & yearly reporting and stakeholder engagement THE PERSON Experience in Village and or facilities management Strong and decisive leadership skills Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships and project deadlines with competing priorities Strong financial and analytical skills in developing budgets and allocating appropriate resources to ensure a sustainable and profitable business, preferably within the remote or offshore sector Ability to identify and implement new innovations within the facilities management, hospitality, or hotel services industry Experience in Staff recruitment, retention, rostering, and subsequent management of both permanent and casual workforces Chef qualifications are also desirable, as is proven management experience in the hospitality field, ideally within a Catering and or Accommodation services environment THE BENEFITS Paid parental leave Multiple salary packing options to make your dollar go further Easy access to 100+ retail discounts Opportunity to grow your career and further develop your skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
