We are looking for customer obsessed people to join our team as an Assistant Underwriter within Commercial Underwriting. We currently have permanent positions in our team in Sydney or Melbourne.
Our commitment to developing our people means your customer service and sales career journey will be enhanced during your time at Vero. We will also train you to be an underwriter, so that you can evaluate the risks involved when insuring business assets and exposures.
The first 3-6 months of your career with us will be based in our Sydney office during your training period. When you're ready, you will transition to flexible working, which includes working from home up to 50% of the time. Being there for our customers is important. You'll be interacting with our brokers via phone and emails, working 37.5 hours per week.
Your responsibilities will include: Evaluating risks and providing insurance quotes for our new and existing customers Fulfilling customer requests in a timely and efficient way Responding to broker queries Building and maintaining relationships with our customers and brokers Assisting with the execution of the strategy and delivering key financial targets to drive profitable growth and increase market share What you need to succeed: Excellent customer service skills Relationship management skills Resilience to manage complex tasks Excellent communication skills Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities Strong analytical, attention to detail and good commercial decision-making ability Computer literacy Flexibility & desire to work in a fast-paced environment A growth mindset to enhance your technical skills What we can offer you: We'll develop your technical skills over a 2-3 year development pathway and empower you to make confident underwriting decisions.
