You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleThe Assistant Track Maintenance position is a crucial component of V/Line's Network Development Asset and Maintenance Group, providing essential support in the delivery of major periodic maintenance works.
Reporting directly to the Track Maintenance Supervisor, this role plays a pivotal part in maintaining the safety and reliability of tracks and sidings, meeting the operational requirements necessary for V/Line's success.Key Accountabilities include: Carry out Track Maintenance activities in coordination with relevant supervisor's directivesEnsure all works are completed from a Safety, Environmental and Quality perspectiveCertify Track fit for traffic following repairs or renewal worksAdhere to compliance following standards and proceduresIdentify operational risks and manage mitigation strategies within the right areasAssist with rostering of labour, plant and equipment for planned worksLeadership in the delivery of Major Periodic Maintenance projectsFoster a collaborative engaging Team About youMaintaining a professional demeanour and leading by example are crucial aspects of representing V/Line, especially when away for extended periods.
