The roleALS Geochemistry is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to join the Geochemistry team in Malaga.

This is a Full-Time role with full training provided.
Key responsibilities include:Providing staff with training on all wet chemistry, digestion/fusion techniques, and procedures.Completing competency assessments on all staff to ensure they are fully capable of performing their duties.Assisting the Team Leader with their duties and completely fulfilling them in their absence.
Some of these duties and responsibilities include directing and coordinating the team on a daily basis and ensuring clear lines of communication with other sections on urgent or priority work.Running pre-start meetings and providing feedback to their team on company and sectional notices and individuals on specific issues or for recognition.Assisting or resolving any staff and equipment issues, escalating if necessary.
Running all safety and inventory checks in the digestion lab.Monitor staff where quality or production issues have been flagged and ensure the digesting lab runs smoothly.The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000.
The essentialsA minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Geochemistry Laboratory is highly desirable.A Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or BSc will be highly regarded.Strong communication and organizational skills.Exhibit a strong work ethic.Approachable and can integrate well with the team.Able to lead, supervise and instruct team members.Possess patience, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.Working at ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.
