Williamson's FoodWorks has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. This hands-on role will help control and direct the efficient management of our supermarket. The successful candidate will contribute to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals by constantly reviewing our current processes to increase productivity. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role as a senior manager within our company.
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with excellent people skills and an operational mindset. Reporting to the Store Manager, the focus of this role includes business development, store presentation, stock management, administration, team member coaching and training, and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, train, motivate, and develop the team
Set goals, budgets, and manage time to achieve results within deadlines
Meet sales targets, control costs, and manage rostering
Drive sales and build the store's clientele
Plan, order, and process products to maximize sales and gross profit
Manage presentation, merchandising, and stock
Control rotation of stock across the store
Ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, rotation of merchandise, and building of displays
Minimize loss and maintain accurate pricing
Practice company policies and procedures and ensure adherence to safety standards including Food Safety processes
Roster staff and maintain wage percentage at budgeted levels
Maintain vigilant control on stock quality regarding shrinkage
Adhere to Key Performance Indicators

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Previous supermarket operational management experience is essential
Experience in managing a team
Knowledge of supermarket best practices
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to operate computing systems and software
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with customers
Excellent organizational skills and strong problem-solving ability
Physically capable of substantial lifting and standing for long periods
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Applicants should be willing and able to work a roster that may include a variety of shifts from early morning to afternoons over a 7-day period.
