About the roleALPA is seeking passionate and enthusiastic retailer couples to:
Work on a fortnightly roster including weekends and various shifts.Assist Store Manager(s) with daily store operations.Perform physical tasks like unloading stock, restocking, and cleaning.Open, close and reconcile the store.Train and coach store staff.Support with checkout duties during busy times.Collaborate on stock levels, promotions, and community initiatives.Help drive sales and reduce costs.Assist with café/takeaway operations and maintain food safety.Participate in 1:1 meetings with Store Manager(s).Join in stock take, safety, and compliance checks.Escalate process changes or new initiatives for review.Learn various store procedures to advance to store management.This position is based in a remote Indigenous community in the Northern Territory or Far North Queensland.

Skills and experienceA minimum of 3 years' experience in retail or similar (mandatory).An unrestricted NT C Class driver's license or ability to obtain one.Experience using electronic retail systems for stock control, point of sale and staff management.Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origin.The capacity to link daily activities to the ALPA values and mission.BenefitsCompetitive salary with ability to salary package with additional benefits and money saving rewards.Accommodation and utilities included.Relocation assistance.7 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading.13.5% superannuation.2 return flights p.a.
