Gold Coast's most popular buffet Harvest is currently recruiting an Assistant Sous Chef to help lead the brigade. You will be given the responsibility of supporting the leadership team to assist with mentoring the team and drive quality and consistency for this signature restaurant.
A few of your responsibilities: Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the planning of menusMonitors stock levelsAssists in rostering and managing team membersEnsure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchenMentor and develop the Demi's, Commis' and Apprentice ChefsWhat are we looking for? Chef experience required in a 5-star environment or large restaurant Buffet or bulk production cooking experience (preferred) Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learningPrevious experience with quality control in production and preservationAbility to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchensAbout you: With your passion for turning local ingredients into delicious dishes and a natural skill at bringing the best out of the team around you, you will be pivotal in shaping the success of our signature dining venue, Nineteen at The Star.
