Job DescriptionThe Assistant Sales Manager shall be guided by the principles of integrity, diligence, initiative and cooperation in the performance of duties.To be responsible for attracting new and old customers to the hotel from travel agencies and other companies that check-in for leisure guests and exceed guest expectations.To consistently offer a professional, friendly service.To confirm all guest event information with clients and direct supervisor.To ensure the achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.To implement the organization of collective, short-term and/or banquet-type business through the preparation and implementation of a special action plan.To determine and agree on price parameters and quotas approved on the basis of written contracts.To participate in trade fairs and advertising events within the framework of hotel and trade-related organizations.To organize payment procedures, to collect adequate information about the acceptance of any deposits and/or loans and to ensure that they are received within the acceptable time frame.To organize and/or participate in daily meetings to ensure that relevant departments are aware of last-minute changes, to review contracts with event and wholesale companies.To prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.Courteous assistance and proper coordination of staff and guests.Participate in weekly department meetings, daily meetings and trainings.To perform other duties determined by the direct manager.To organize meetings with clients outside the hotel 5 times a week.To share all necessary information fully and correctly with the appropriate departments before the event to be organized and the group arriving at the hotel.Professionally answer customer questions and understand their needs and requirements.Develop strategies to effectively improve sales.Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.To learn about and share information about the services offered by Fairmont Baku Hotel, including information about guest rooms, guest receptions, the Hotel's history and heritage, activities and local programs.Investigate new potential opportunities in accordance with the hotel's sales strategy and be aware of relevant progress in all areas of sales.Proactively manage all predefined sales areas and other active account numbers to achieve the set target and ensure maximum productivity.Actively follow the sales strategy to search for new potential contacts in all areas of sales, develop them and turn them into active productive accounts.To organize familiarization tours of the hotel along with business management.In the case of individual corporate e-mails, check daily and respond in a timely manner.Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly and achieve set sales goals. QualificationsHigher education (tourism and hotel management is desirable).Experience in the relevant position.Knowledge of Opera PMS Software, Microsoft Windows computer programs.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.Highly responsible & reliable.Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.Must possess professional telephone etiquette and have an excellent command.Fluent Azerbaijani, English, Russian language.Strong team player who can work independently in a fast paced environment.Dynamic, willing to learn.Have good sales and presentation skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
