Central Queensland (CQ) Health's Workforce Divisionplays an integral role in the effective management of the people resources for our service. The Division takes the lead role in the attraction, retention, learning and development, performance, discipline, change management, safety and well-being, and engagement of our most important asset - "our people".
The Workforce Division Unit comprises approximately 40 Human Resource practitioners who provide a high quality, client focused and value adding human resource service to management and staff throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
About the role: Contribute to the effective development and delivery of professional occupational health, workplace safety and workplace rehabilitation and return to work services provided by the Workforce Safety and Wellbeing Unit and effectively and efficiently inform and support the relevant Workforce Safety and Wellbeing Advisors and staff on occupational health and workplace safety and workplace rehabilitation and return to work responses and strategies.
The position provides advice and support in the application of workplace health and safety, workplace rehabilitation, workers compensation and organisational wellbeing to assist CQHHS achieve safe, healthy and supportive workplaces and work practice for staff.
About you: To be successful in this role you must have:
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded. Relevant skills and experience to effectively function as a rehabilitation and return to work coordinator is highly desirable. You communicate messages clearly, structure written communication so that it is easy to follow and adapt your communication style to address the needs of different people. You possess a working knowledge of, and experience in applying the requirements of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 , other legislation, codes and standards, relevant to the key responsibilities of this role. You build and sustain positive relationships with team members and clients and respond to changes in client needs and expectations effectively. What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $110,852 p.a. is comprised of:
