What the role is all aboutAs the Assistant Residential Life Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the coordination of the residence as a community under the guidance of the Residential Life Manager (RLM).
Your role is instrumental in assisting the RLM to deliver the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program; and to ensure residential wellbeing is managed, with emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters.
Our program aims to offer an array of diverse, fun, and inclusive events hoping to tailor to each resident in one way or another.
You will have the opportunity to develop and organise a holistic calendar of events for residents, to enrich their educational, cultural, and social experience.

You help to support a high performing Residential Life team, and develop and nurture a culture within the community.
You will lead in the delivery of exceptional service to all stakeholder groups and play an active role in the emergency response team during shift times and after-hours.
If you are someone who enjoys working varied hours and can deal with being flat out sometimes and not so busy other times, you might be the candidate we are looking for.
Whilst the core hours of the role are Monday to Friday, we are looking for someone who is flexible to work evenings and weekends to attend functions or support residents in need.
What we need from youYou are passionate about delivering a fun and memorable experience for our residents.
You will be enthusiastic and creative in your event planning - always considering the student experience.
It is important that you demonstrate a solid understanding of the complexities of university life, and operational aspects of residential living to align with the university's student experience framework.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:
A bachelor's degree which can demonstrate experience in university life or relevant careers with a good understanding of living on campus.Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health in a university/youth environment.Demonstrated experience in event management, including budgets, planning and implementation.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.High level of competency in a range of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict in a diverse environment.Experience being the primary contact for students and the first responder for critical and emergency incidents.Our mandatory requirements include:National Police Check (completed within last 3 months), at your own cost.Unrestricted work rights in AustraliaCurrent Working with Children's CheckCurrent Physical and Mental Health First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain)First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willing to obtain.Why Join UsAcross our workforce we have built an enviable culture of trust, engagement, collaboration, and fun.
