Assistant Relationship Manager

Details of the offer

How will I help? Rock-solid relationships are at the heart of every commercial banking decision we make. In this strategic role, you'll work closely with Relationship Managers across a varied portfolio to ensure those connections are second to none. Westpac commercial is committed to sharing the journey with the industry and ensuring they are strongly supported and positioned for growth now and into the future.
Our Assistant Relationship Managers play a crucial role in generating high-quality deals – helping with everything from credit submissions and deal structuring to financial analysis, in a diversified commercial portfolio. Your financial insights will be put to good use, spotting any potential risks involved with existing or new clients and their financial requests. You will conduct cash flow, risk, and financial statement analysis, and regularly review portfolios to maintain the best quality credit, while ensuring the relationships with our commercial clients are kept in good shape.
What's in it for me? You'll play a significant part in the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. Our purpose is to create better futures together. We'll support your career development, internal career prospects, and flexible working. You'll continue learning to grow your career, backed by a fantastic team with a supportive structure. We offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers, including leave for adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. We continue to pay your super contributions while you take the time you need to settle your new family.
What do I need? We'd love to hear from aspirational accounting professionals looking to develop into our Relationship Bankers of the future. You'll need to have strong financial skills and ideally come from an accounting background to apply those skills to complex lending structures, as well as credit and risk analysis.
You'll be a natural communicator, able to engage and build genuine relationships with our customers, a team player, and a decisive thinker. You will work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers. Your drive to succeed will help you tackle even the most challenging tasks with an open mind and energy!
What's it like to work there? We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities, and each other. At Westpac, making a difference means creating impact, unlocking our own and each other's passions, and transformative success stories to create better futures together.
Along with competitive remuneration and a great culture, joining the Westpac family gives you access to a wide range of employee benefits to help you manage your priorities - whether that means family life, work/life balance, ambition to grow, or all the little perks in between.
We'll empower you to shape your career path. Through personalised upskilling, mentoring, and training opportunities, you're in control of where you start and how you'll grow.
As an equal opportunity employer, we are proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility – and champions inclusion.
