Rock-solid relationships are at the heart of every commercial banking decision we make. In this strategic role you'll work closely with Senior Relationship Managers across a varied portfolio to make sure those connections are second to none. Westpac commercial is committed to sharing the journey with the industry and ensuring they are strongly supported and positioned for growth now and into the future.
Our Assistant Relationship Managers play a really important role in generating high-quality deals – helping with everything from credit submissions and deal structuring to financial analysis, in a diversified commercial portfolio. Your financial insights will be put to good use, spotting any potential risks involved with existing or new clients and their financial requests. You will conduct cash flow, risk, and financial statement analysis, and regularly review portfolios to make sure the best quality credit is maintained, while making sure the relationships we have with our commercial clients are kept in just as good shape.
What do I need?
We'd love to hear from aspirational accounting professionals looking to develop into our Relationship Bankers of the future. You'll need to have some serious financial smarts and ideally, you'll come from an accounting background so you can apply those skills to complex lending structures, as well as credit and risk analysis.
You'll be a natural communicator, able to engage and build genuine relationships with our customers, team player and a decisive thinker. You will work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers. Your drive to succeed will help you tackle even the most challenging tasks with an open mind and energy!
