Current professional qualifications, as appropriate.University teaching School of Psychology within the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts at the Florida Institute of Technology seeks an outstanding and dynamic faculty member for a 9-month tenure track, Assistant Professor in Clinical Neuropsychology beginning August successful candidate will be a clinical neuropsychologist with skills in the broader area of psychological testing and assessment who will serve as a core member of our APA-accredited PsyD program in Clinical Psychology.
Duties include: a) graduate teaching within the area of clinical neuropsychology, psychobiology, and clinical psychology; b) clinical supervision and c) maintenance of a research program that includes research supervision of doctoral faculty member is expected to teach foundational knowledge and neuropsychology emphasis area courses in the PsyD program and/or undergraduate psychology courses.
Applicants with experience in teaching and/or research in diversity areas, including in his or her clinical specialty, are encouraged to apply.
The faculty member will engage in a program of applied research with the potential to make a significant contribution to the literature and the field of clinical psychology, and is encouraged to secure external grant funding.
He or she would also direct doctoral research projects.
The faculty member is also expected to demonstrate commitment to broad and general training consistent with the Standards of Accreditation.
The core clinical faculty participate program activities including student selection and admission processes, annual student evaluations, grading clinical oral and written comprehensive exams, and other activities supporting program functioning.
Additional activities may include professional service to the program, university, and profession.Candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related area of psychology from an APA-accredited program and have completed an APA-accredited internship, have at least two years of postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology, be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the State of Florida by August 2025, and have or be eligible for Board Certification as a Clinical of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
