Lovisa Opportunity: The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for working with the Production Manager to lead the production department to achieve key targets and KPIs. The Production department are responsible for the successful management of our company stock orders – including raising Purchase Orders into our system and ensuring adherence to KPI expectations of those purchase orders in terms of timeliness, completeness, quality, and accuracy, whilst ensuring company DIFOT metrics are met. The team work closely by overseeing several suppliers and managing their efficiency throughout their production process. The team is also responsible for the support of Lovisa's category buying and merchandise teams.
Roles responsibilities The Assistant Production Manager will mentor the Senior Production Coordinators and help to manage the development of the Production Coordinators by ensuring continuous growth.
Leading the team to work as efficiently and successfully as possible within their roles to meet team KPI's. Managing and delegating the weekly raising of both new range and repeat purchase orders within expected timeframes. Manage outstanding orders for accuracy and DIFOT (Delivered on Time and in Full). Analysing and auditing business order data regularly for accuracy. Futura item management for required attribute settings. Manage barcode files to ensure correct pricing and price file execution by country. Daily communication with and reporting to key internal stakeholders including colleagues and team members who are located in our support centres within and outside of Australia (South Africa, China, USA, Poland, United Kingdom). Onboarding, management, and development of a group of more than 95 different suppliers from several different countries. Carry out daily correspondence and problem solving together with their international representatives and ensure a satisfactory transaction whilst negotiating to meet business KPIs and margins. Ensuring team contribution to store success through ticketed communication. Monitor bulk production and escalate any delays in supplier shipment to the Head of Buying and GM Product as soon as they arise. Invoicing and tracking payments, managing credit claims for variances and ex-factory failures. Ensuring the success and continuous development of the Production team by managing workloads, delegating, setting goals and targets, progressing their training and improvement to ensure retention, growth, and job satisfaction. Assist the Quality Control of all goods received in the Australian Warehouse. Work with the logistics team to ensure urgent uplift from agreed ex-factory dates and that DIFOT metrics are met for shipments to each warehouse. Closely audit the transit of every open order and work with logistics to ensure complete delivery on time. Reporting on other departments KPI's: DIFOT (logistics & buying), late lines, supplier use. Work with global logistics team and freight forwarders to ensure correct categorisation of products to ensure smooth flow of goods between borders. HS codes and tariffs to be applied to each product correctly to ensure minimal delay of imports. Work with logistics team to plan upcoming shipments and provide size and weight data so that the space can be booked with our chosen freight forwarders.
