Location ProfileFountain Gate Secondary College is located in the City of Casey in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 40 kilometres from the Melbourne Central Business District. The school provides high-quality education for the Narre Warren community in a safe, supportive and educationally challenging environment. Fountain Gate Secondary College provides a Year 7 to Year 12 learning program through the Victorian Curriculum, the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), Victorian Certificate of Education – Vocation Major (VCE-VM) and a range of Victorian Education and Training (VET) offerings. RoleThe assistant principal reports directly to the principal. They are responsible for the management of significant areas within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program. Assistant principals will contribute to the overall management of the school through involvement in policy formulation and decision making.
ResponsibilitiesTypically, assistant principals perform one or more of the following functions:
Supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators.Allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources.Supervision of the delivery of teaching programs.Management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff.Responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers.Contribute to the overall management of the school.Who May ApplyAppropriately qualified individuals currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
