RoleThe assistant principal reports directly to the principal and has a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program. In exercising this responsibility, assistant principals will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff within their area of designated responsibility.
Typically, assistant principals will be responsible for the effective use of the teaching staff and program budget of a defined area of the school's operation and for the oversight and leadership of the educational programs provided utilizing these resources.

Location ProfileYubup Primary School is a new school that opened on the first day of the 2024 school year. It is located in the Botanical Estate in Mickleham on Ellscott Boulevard, which is 38km north of the Melbourne CBD. Yubup Primary School has a current enrolment of 700 students and is expected to grow rapidly over the next few years.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and hardworking assistant principal to join our leadership team as a student manager. The successful applicant will play an instrumental role in the management of day-to-day student issues with parent communication and classroom teacher support in managing a variety of student issues the key component of this role.
