Assistant Principal-Range 1 - Planning and ImpactWarragul North Primary School is located in beautiful Gunai-kurnai country in West Gippsland and in 2023 had an enrolment of 641 students. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners of this country, and through ongoing learning, we aim to better care for country and appreciate the knowledge, skills, and cultural identities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our new vision, 'Together we grow as a school community to nurture a sense of pride and belonging through active learning, curiosity and creating new experiences,' supports our school's purpose - to provide a happy, caring learning environment where children can achieve their potential.During 2023, the school went through a review as well as extensive work to both buildings and grounds. The school is committed to ensuring all learning and play spaces are stimulating while providing more creative and collaborative opportunities for our students. The school developed an active learning framework that builds student voice and agency through both independent and collaborative learning. The framework also underpins the school's approach to connecting learning and wellbeing and supports the development of the school's new values: respect, inclusion, creativity, and kindness.The school is well resourced both inside and outside. There are 3 playgrounds, imaginative play spaces, a grassed oval, basketball court, and gymnasium. The school provides a fully accredited before and after school program, offers a chaplaincy program, and a psychologist is available two days per week. The workforce at WNPS consists of 3 Principal class, 1 Leading Teacher, 2 Learning Specialists, 1 Business Manager, 3.5 Administration staff, 39 classroom and specialist teaching staff (some work part-time), and 15 Education Support staff.
