About the role Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale is is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Principal - Learning and Teaching (Secondary).
This is a permanent teaching role with a five year fixed-term appointment to the Assistant Principal - Learning and Teaching position.
This role commences January, 2025.
The position of Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching - Secondary shares with the Principal the responsibility for learning and teaching and the development of both high expectations of students and staff and a high performance culture in the school measured through student engagement and student outcomes.
The Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching - Secondary will assume a senior leadership role, working with staff to drive the development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and student learning and growth across the school.
The position of Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching - Secondary is a significant Senior Leadership position in the College's organisational structure and a member of the College Leadership Team.
The Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching - Secondary provides general leadership in support of the Principal in the achievement of the acknowledged mission and goals of the College community.
The Assistant Principal, Learning and Teaching - Secondary will have teaching responsibilities.

Desirable Criteria Masters or other post graduate qualification in Theology, Religious Education or Educational Leadership Can show evidence of educational, pastoral, theological and managerial aspects of school leadership.
