Assistant Principal - Kororo Public School Kororo Public School has an enrolment of 484 students (including 7% Aboriginal students) and is located in the coastal suburb of Korora, 7.7km north of the CBD of Coffs Harbour. Students are drawn from a range of backgrounds. The dedicated staff are a dynamic mix of experienced and beginning teachers and support staff. Position Information Kororo Public School is seeking an Assistant Principal who will work as part of a dynamic executive team, balancing exemplary teaching with the complexities of a leadership role, including the professional development of staff.

Selection Criteria Approval to teach infants and/or primary with a K-6 focus. Expertise to lead, model, and implement evidence-based and data-driven practices using the new syllabuses, focusing on high expectations to ensure continuous improvements in literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the capacity to work collaboratively as a visible leader in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives aligned with the Strategic Improvement Plan. Proven ability to lead a dynamic and responsive school-wide approach to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance, and behaviour management processes enabling every student to connect, succeed, and thrive. General Selection Criteria Successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
