About the role Ryan Catholic College, Kirwan is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Principal - Knowledge Activation.
This is a permanent teaching role with a five-year fixed-term appointment to the Assistant Principal - Knowledge Activation position.
This role commences January 2025.
The position of Assistant Principal - Knowledge Activation focuses on leadership in data associated with enhancing high-quality pedagogy with a high-quality learning and teaching program.
The Assistant Principal – Knowledge Activation will assume a senior leadership role as a member of the College leadership team to assist and develop staff to drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate classroom teaching plans and resources.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.
Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
Full accreditation to teach in a Catholic School and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school.
The capacity to enact leadership focused on living and sharing the Catholic faith, the Mission of the Church and the Catholic school ethos, with the intention of influencing and enriching the lives of students, staff and other members of the school community.
Current Driver's Licence.
Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville.
Desirable Criteria Five years of successful teaching experience, preferably across a range of year-levels.
Masters or other postgraduate qualification in Theology, Religious Education or Educational Leadership.
Can show evidence of educational, pastoral, theological and managerial aspects of school leadership.
