Location: Wollongong, AustraliaSector: Property & HousingSalary: CompetitiveWe are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at Wollongong Central due to an internal promotion.
The ideal candidate will enjoy being part of a team and be a key contributor to the operation and presentation of the Shopping Centre, ensuring compliance, minimising risk and managing capital works.
The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the Centre Management along with supporting the other members of the broader team as required.About HabenHaben is a privately owned funds and property management business that specialises in unlocking value from retail shopping centres currently located across the East coast of Australia.
We are growing rapidly whilst maintaining our personal touch and care both about our community of co-investors and partners, and the communities where our assets are located.About the roleResponsibility for the operation and presentation of the Centre.Assist with operational and capital expenditure budgets/delivery.Manage capital works including tenancy delivery works.Ensure compliance with government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.Establish and drive improvements to optimise the Centre's waste, energy, and water usage.Build and maintain strong relationships with all the key stakeholder groups.About youDemonstrated experience in a similar property operations role.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and build effective and professional relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, facilities site staff, external service providers and contractors.Problem solving, interpretation and negotiation skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.Customer focus and proactive approach with initiative.Intermediate to advanced level in core Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).High level of commercial acumen and financial management, with proven experience with budgeting and forecasting.Demonstrated understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, OHS/WHS and Legislation, Essential Services of Authority and Statutory Requirements.Working within a small team based at Wollongong Central Shopping Centre, this full-time permanent role.
