Holiday Inn Werribee is a hotel in Melbourne proudly showcasing the open lobby concept.
Situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre, the hotel occupies the top 4 floors of the mixed-use 12-storey premises and boasts sweeping views right across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour.
The hotel offers 150 stylishly appointed guest rooms, a gym, all-day dining in Rosana bistro & bar, and modern conference and events spaces.
A little taste of your day to day You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all hotel operations during the hours of 11pm to 7am whilst working alongside another colleague.Your principal responsibility is the safety and security of guests and ensuring the hotel is secure at all times, including completing two security floor walk checks during the shift.Demonstrating high attention to detail and accuracy with the night task checklist and procedures is expected.Preparing daily reporting for hotel management, including arrivals, departures, and no-shows, and responding to and taking reservations.Auditing daily hotel transactions and balancing accounts to ensure all revenue is accounted for.Check in and check out guests, providing a seamless true hospitality experience.Ensure that our guests' requests such as delivery or room service orders and amenity items are met in a timely fashion while adhering to Holiday Inn brand standards.Complete a daily handover log with all relevant information from the shift to ensure continuity of service.Assist with duties such as pack down and setup of our Conference and Events spaces, ensuring public areas are presentable by vacuuming, mopping, cleaning guest toilets, and making up a guest room for late overnight arrivals.What we need from you Experience in a front office role demonstrating proactive leadership within a hotel environment is highly desirable.Competency using property management and point of sale systems; current or previous Opera v5 and Infrasys experience is highly desirable.A positive and energetic attitude with a "can do" approach, meaning you're happy to roll up your sleeves and help everyone out to deliver memorable stays for our guests.A genuine desire to be part of the hotel and join a highly motivated team that works together to adapt to changing situations.Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter that can take the lead in any situation with effective problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including full comprehension and understanding.Valid RSA Responsible Service of Alcohol and First Aid certifications.Valid full-time working rights to work in Australia.What we offer Join our extraordinary world and experience a place where you can be yourself, share your ideas, support your personal growth and wellbeing, and be a valued member of an inspirational team.
