About us
We are a local church, comprising three congregations of around 200 people, seeking to reach our community in Sydney's southern suburbs with the gospel. Our vision is to grow God's Kingdom by equipping people to take their next step with Jesus. Our mission is to see not yet Christians become Christians who become strong Christians who make disciples of others.
Position background and vision
We find ourselves blessed with a strong community of young adults (around 70 between the ages of 18-30 y/o). We are seeking someone who will primarily minister to this segment of our church who largely attend our 5pm service. The role we are seeking to fill is full time and has three areas of focus (see Position Overview).
Position purpose
1. Building on our current strengths
We hope to employ someone who will help us achieve outcomes for the gospel, particularly in relation to our young adult community. We want to employ someone whose work among young adults will increase our capacity to grow more disciples of Christ in deeper Christian maturity.
2. Refocusing other ministry team members
In comparison with other local churches of a similar outlook, we currently have the second lowest ratio of ministry staff to attendees compared to four other local churches of similar or larger size than us. Adding another member to the ministry team will help to redeploy our current ministry team in new ways.
