About the team Our dynamic Tax Advisory practice is a team of legislative experts, covering the complete tax spectrum. With a focus on clients in the middle-market, the team has the opportunity to directly engage with business owners and key stakeholders, delivering impactful solutions. We're focused on outcomes for clients, not internal box ticking exercises; team members are empowered to challenge the status quo and find a way to add real value to our clients' businesses.
The International Tax team operates as a cohesive group within the broader Tax Advisory practice. We truly believe our one firm approach achieves the best outcomes for clients, so you're encouraged to collaborate across practice teams to find solutions.
About the role Working in the International Tax team, you will provide advice related to tax treaty issues, attribution issues, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, 99B issues, capital gains taxes, consolidation and other tax issues in the context of structuring transactions and/or organisations with international dealings.
The breadth of the role means in any one day you might provide advice across a range of technical tax issues as well as being a trusted advisor partnering with clients to help solve their broader business issues.
Key responsibilities Draft advice on a range of issues; for example: restructuring of entities with cross-border considerations, corporate and individual tax residency advice, foreign hybrid mismatch advice, capital gains tax, structuring and corporate tax matters for cross-border clients.Work directly with clients to help with the establishment of cross-border business structures.Review international dealings schedules and tax returns, and provide advice in that regard.Build and cultivate client relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders.Coach, support, and lead team members, delivering technical training.Who we're after Here are some of the key qualifications, skills and personal attributes we're looking for.
