Unity Fund Services (UFS) is searching for an Assistant Manager or Manager (dependent on experience) to help us lead, coach, and mentor our fund accountants as we redefine fund administration.
This role will use your >5 years background as a general accountant (CPA/CA) and your people management experience within a fund services environments. Your knowledge of working in a variety of asset classes is essential to this role. It is expected that all our managers have the ability to still be hands-on with the "tools" including highly advanced skills using Excel, Word. Managers within our team at UFS are able to demonstrate their ability to lead from the front by motivating their teams, sharing knowledge, and coaching their teams to ongoing success. Your proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving and ability to bring a team together is what will drive your success in our organisation. We are searching for managers who have the ability to build a strong rapport with their teams but also be confident advisers to our clients.
The role will see you assume responsibility for a varied portfolio of investment funds which may include wholesale or retail investment funds:
property / real estate funds credit/debt funds private equity funds hedge funds financial assets funds fund of funds Tasks/Responsibility Managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure all aspects of fund administration are delivered in a compliant and efficient manner Manage a small team of fund accountants ensuring all team members are trained and motivated to deliver excellent client services Review and approve for release all fund reporting obligations and deliverables to a high quality ensuring all procedures and processes are adhered to Ensure clients meet regulatory obligations in respect of fund administration and tax compliance Successfully onboard new Funds to required timeframes Manage all aspects of teamwork flow ensuring work is appropriately allocated and resourced to meet client deadlines and staff development opportunities With support of team manager ensure all team members are motivated, receive adequate training and have development plans in place to achieve career objectives Assist with internal projects from time to time Escalate issues identified by client, trustee and team to ensure a viable solution can be found What's on offer?
