Position: Assistant Manager
Role Summary
As the Assistant Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our venue operates smoothly and consistently provides a high-quality experience for every guest. This position combines customer-focused Game Master duties with key managerial responsibilities such as staff support, scheduling, and venue maintenance. Game Master Responsibilities
Customer Service: Welcome and assist guests, address enquiries and concerns, and ensure 100% customer satisfaction throughout their visit.
Game Setup and Supervision: Brief, supervise, and support guests during their escape room experiences, and reset rooms accurately and efficiently after each group.
Room Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organisation in workspaces and escape rooms, quickly troubleshoot and adjust room setups as necessary.
Shift Management: Answer phones and emails, manage guest bookings, and prioritise tasks independently during shifts.
Assistant Manager Responsibilities
Staff Support and Management: Assist with hiring, training, and developing team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Scheduling and Rostering: Manage rosters to ensure efficient coverage during operational hours, taking into account peak times and staff availability.
Operational Oversight: Conduct quality checks for room setups, address operational issues, and support the overall upkeep of the venue, including minor maintenance.
Administrative Tasks: Handle daily reporting, stock inventory management, and assist with staff performance reviews.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the venue manager to ensure smooth operation, propose improvements, and maintain team morale.
Skills and Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the entertainment, hospitality, or customer service industries.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Organisation and Time Management: Highly organised with excellent multitasking abilities; capable of prioritising and managing tasks under pressure.
Problem-Solving: Quick-thinking with the ability to adapt and troubleshoot effectively during unexpected situations.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and online scheduling tools.
Flexibility and Leadership: Able to work evenings and weekends, with a proactive and supportive approach to team management.
