Purpose of the role:
Provide management support via allocation, supervision, and evaluation of junior members' work.
Key outputs:
Encompass a strong understanding of the firm's vision, values, and overall organisational approach. The Assistant Manager will cascade this understanding through to their reporting lines. As emerging leaders, they will lead by example, modelling desired behaviors.
They will provide guidance and mentor their reporting lines to ensure all clients receive a consistently high level of quality in service and outcome.
Support manager via the allocation, supervision, and evaluation of junior members' work.
Key tasks:
Manage end to end a designated client list, manage the initial scope of client requirements, brief and engage required resources.
Set budgets and delivery timelines.
Effectively manage fees and requirements that fall outside of scope, manage or contribute to the development of a high-performing team, manage production and staff utilisation.
Convey the value of the firm and service offerings to clients and team members.
Contribute to the general operations of the respective team.
Education requirements:
Bachelor's Degree: Finance/Accounting/Commerce.
Industry specific: qualified Chartered Accountant/Certified Practicing Accountant.
Experience requirements:
Able to demonstrate previous experience in leading and developing junior staff, i.e., responsibility for reviewing work and managing workflow.
Exposure to various business structures including trusts. Demonstrate a good understanding of Division 7A, Part 4A. Demonstrate an ability to handle complex and diverse engagements. Previous experience in a multi-partner business services firm would be ideal.
