About the roleWe are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Assurance & Advisory Division.
You will contribute to this by displaying a good understanding and appreciation of the values of SW Accountants & Advisors.
By meeting responsibilities outlined below, the Assistant Manager contributes to providing excellent client service and demonstrates commitment to the SW's culture.
Key Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of SW audit clientsManage client relationships, including arrange audit logistics, take responsibility for the audit file completion and quality, as well as manage and mentor the teamComplete allocated work on a range of the firm's clientsComplete allocated jobs, including planning, audit work, preparation of financial statements and passing a completed audit file and financial accounts back to the Manager for review.Perform more complex specialist assignments when required, such as due diligence and review reports.Delegate appropriate work to junior members of staff and review before passing the completed audit file to the Manager or Partner for review.Involvement in the technical aspects of the Assurance Division and the FirmEnsure all audit testing is completePrepare and monitor billings within the specified time limits and monitor client budgets and write-offs.Provide support to the Manager or Partner in preparation of client advice reportsRecognise any departures from the auditing, accounting standards or company law, and bring these to the Manager's or Partner's attention, and advise the client accordinglyKey Skills and Experience:A minimum of 4 year's experience in an Assurance environment in a Chartered/CPA accounting practiceDegree qualified and near to qualifying or fully qualified as a CA / CPATechnically proficient and demonstrate a keen interest to develop knowledge and keep updated with the latest audit and accounting developmentsAbility to competently review the work of junior members of staff and identify any issues and value add opportunities for discussionPrior experience working with and developing good working relationships with clientsExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines for a large group of clientsAbility to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to mentor, coach and manage junior members of staffDiplomacy skills when dealing with clients and sensitive mattersAbility to network in order to utilise individual expertise within the FirmAbility to present professionally and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsProficient in using an Audit software package such as Caseware.Best Kept Secrets of SW:Progressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesFlexible working environment2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeks for non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perks$1000 towards home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearWeekly lunch providedApply todayCreate your own individual story and become a part of ours.
