Columbia Aged Care will be submitting its application to the government to sponsor AINs under a Labour Agreement. We would like to open the recruitment process (current staff only) to apply for sponsorship. We will conduct the recruitment process while we wait for the application to be approved by the government.

Responsibilities: Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility.Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of dignity and respect.Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to registered nurses.Assist with mealtimes, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.Participate in resident care planning meetings and follow individualized care plans.Document care provided in residents' charts accurately and efficiently.Participate in activities and social programs, fostering a sense of community.Maintain a positive and professional attitude, building rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.Desired Skills and ExperienceWe are looking for someone who possesses: A genuine desire to work with seniors and improve their quality of life.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families.Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.Reliability and a commitment to high standards of care.A current AIN qualification (Certificate III or Cert IV in Individual Support Aged Care).Full Working Rights in Australia.Current Police Check.Ability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.Additional requirements for sponsorship: If you are currently Sydney based, please provide a letter of recommendation from your Facility Manager.Provide dates available for a face-to-face interview in Oberon in October.Provide dates available for a secondment to Oberon in the month of October.Secondment = buddy shifts with Oberon colleagues and potential for working shifts up to 4 weeks (depending on individual circumstances).Columbia will assist with meal allowance, kms and accommodation to support applicants while working in Oberon.Please contact ****** if you require support for this request.If you have any questions or need assistance with your application, please email ******.
