About the role Mater Private Hospital Brisbane is searching for enthusiastic Assistant in Nursing (AIN) professionals to join the Operating Theatres on a permanent part-time or casual basis.
The successful candidates will be required to work between Monday to Friday, including early and late shifts.
Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse within the Operating Theatres, you will work as part of an established proactive team supporting Registered and Enrolled Nurses in the provision of safe, quality patient care.
The Mater nursing team provides the highest level of specialist care to patients, their families, carers, and visitors.
Our team of industry professionals work together as a cohesive and collaborative unit, going above and beyond to provide an exceptional level of care and deliver the highest level of clinical standards for the patient and the unit.
You will support the nursing team in the provision of expert care to patients who are seeking excellent standards of nursing care at all times.
Your enthusiasm and skills will see you seamlessly integrate into this outstanding team, assisting with the setup of instruments, consumables, and prostheses for surgical procedures.
Additionally, you will be required to work in CSSD as directed.
About you The successful applicant will possess:
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or working toward completionKnowledge of Infection Control procedures and processesPrevious experience working as an AIN in a Theatre environment (not mandatory)Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with other health professionals, patients, and relatives/carersSkills to assist with the management of stockMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
