We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant in Nursing to join the Orthopaedics Department at the Mater Hospital on a permanent full-time basis. This role will provide support to the Nursing staff in the delivery of basic care and will report directly to the Registered Nurse in the unit and integrate into the nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
To be considered, applicants will need to possess the following: Certificate 3 in Health Service AssistanceWell-developed interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment.Proven ability to take direction whilst remaining within scope of practice.Providing high quality patient centred care.Assisting patients with activities of daily living.Completing basic fundamental clinical skills, to assist the RN/EN workforce.Ensuring the safety of patients.Excellent organisation and time management skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Flexible and available to work on a 24/7 rotating roster.Proven teamwork/time management skills.Previous experience working in an acute healthcare area (desired).WHY WORK FOR MATER:
