Assistant In Nursing

Toronto, Newcastle, Maitland & Hunter NSW Nursing - Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical) Figtree Point Nursing home based in Toronto NSW are looking for Casual, PPT and Full-time Staff to join and support our Assistant in Nursing team to provide care for our residents. You must have kindness, compassion and dedication to the elderly as well as a great sense of humor and ability to think outside the box. We firmly believe that laughter is the best medicine and our goal is to make everyone that we encounter enjoy the experience. We have been steadily fostering a culture of providing excellent care while having fun and enjoyment at work for both our residents and staff and would love like-minded people to come and be part of our team. We have various morning, afternoon and night shifts available across a 14-day roster period, working some weekends is a requirement. To be considered for this position you will require a minimum Cert 3 in Aged Care or equivalent, have an NDIS Worker Clearance or be willing to undergo an application and provide two verifiable employment references.

While previous aged care experience is desirable it is not essential to be considered for this position.

Qualifications & experience

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent Certificate IV candidates or candidates with medication & wound care training would be looked upon favourably. Studying Bachelor of nursing and attended your first placement Trainee-ships may also be available for selected candidates.

Tasks & responsibilities

Attending to the care needs of aged care residents ranging from low care to high care needs. Accurate care reporting & progress notes using eCase software. Keeping up with annual training requirements per the training calendar.
