About the opportunity:
In this crucial North Sydney-based position, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while guaranteeing compliance with all relevant accounting policies and standards. Your role is vital in upholding Holcim Australia and New Zealand's financial health and regulatory compliance, with significant opportunities to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders at local, regional, and group levels. Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation and review of group and local consolidated financial statements. Conduct the annual review of impairment testing to ensure asset values are accurately reported. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to stakeholders. Ensure adherence to all internal accounting policies. Implement and maintain robust internal controls. Monitor compliance with external regulations and accounting standards. Provide guidance to the CFO and other teams on accounting standards. Act as the main contact for external statutory audit. Bridge between the finance department and other departments. About You:
To succeed in this role, you will possess strong technical accounting and auditing skills and demonstrated ability to drive accurate and timely financial reporting in complex corporate environments. Your compliance, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills will be exceptional.
Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is preferred. Relevant Big Four experience. Proven experience in financial accounting, specifically in consolidation and statutory reporting. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships within the organization. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Problem solving capabilities. Expertise in SAP and SAP FC. Knowledge of IFRS and AASB. Please Note:
