The Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Group Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Group Accountant to assist in the preparation of financial, risk, and other statutory reports for the Lynas Board and relevant agencies. Tasks & Responsibilities: Assistance in the preparation of the statutory financial reports Liaise with the auditors to provide workpapers supporting the information in the financial report Reviewing and submitting other statutory reports. Preparation and lodgment of the reporting for Payment Times Reporting Assistance with the preparation of Audit Committee Papers and Risk Committee Papers Work with other departments to ensure timely reporting of deliverables Review of the cash flow data for reporting in quarterly reports. Assist with the drafting and implementation of formal accounting policies Assist with the implementation of ESG Reporting Assist in documenting Lynas' position on key accounting matters Skills and experience required for this role: Relevant experience in a similar role or public practice accounting firm Experience within the mining industry is preferred Good commercial acumen Ability to manage both short and long-term projects and deliver within deadlines Strong understanding of International as well as Australian Accounting Standards including consolidation Excellent organizational and communication skills We invite women and applicants with diverse backgrounds to apply, particularly persons of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
