This position requires an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
The Assistant Financial Controller will support the preparation of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting processes, ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity.Please note this role is a 12 month fixed-term maternity leave cover position.ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Purchasing departmentUse hotel systems to ensure compliance and policy integrity of accounting processesPerform regular financial reporting and analysisSupport managers in the use and interpretation of hotel systems, procedures, financial results, budget and forecastsOversee and support the Payroll Officer with fortnightly payroll processesProvide support and assistance to accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing and night audit.QualificationsTertiary qualified with previous experience in a similar role in a large hotelExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong technical skills and a high level of computer literacyProficiency with SUN systems and OperaProficiency with rostering, payroll and purchasing systems (Ready Workforce and Purchase Plus preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel skillsProficiency in accounting principles and internal controlsKnowledge of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020A team player with attention to detailFlexibility of hours due to monthly deadlines.Additional InformationBring passion and dedication to excellence, and we will recognise your contribution with a variety of benefits, rewards and development opportunities.
