About The Role

The Assistant Finance Officer will provide ongoing support to the Senior Financial Accountant and Finance/Payroll Officer.
Part-time or full-time hours will be considered for the position.
The role will be based at our Parkhurst processing plant.
About You

Your payroll and finance knowledge are vital to your success in this role.
Your experience will also include: Ensuring well maintained and accurate processing and records.
High attention to detail.
Strong teamwork and ability to work autonomously.
Highly motivated and ability to be versatile.

Responsibilities

Post month-end journal entries for accrued expenses and prepayments.
Maintain the integrity over the fixed asset register, monitoring work in process projects and preparation of Capex management reports.
Work closely to assist Payroll officer in the end-to-end payroll process.
Generate and provide necessary reports to our Finance Department, including but not limited to: Wages, Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Deductions, Child Support Payments, Leave Accrual Provisions.
Analyse and reconcile payroll data on a regular basis.
Key month-end financial reporting tasks will include general ledger maintenance in SAP, balance sheet reconciliations, and reconcile general ledgers.
Support the overall Financial Accounting team and cross-functional projects with a focus on achieving business improvements and standardization.
Assist Senior Financial Accountant with other tasks as required.

The Requirements

We are looking for people with the following: 2–3 years' experience in a finance, payroll, or accounts role.
Relevant qualifications in accounting or equivalent preferable.
Intermediate Excel/Word proficiency and ERP system knowledge.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
