Indie Education is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Finance team located onsite at Ellenbrook WA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to progress their career in a growing not-for-profit organisation, with opportunity for future promotion within the organisation. The role will report to Executive Manager Finance and be responsible for assisting with the management of all financial and accounting matters across the company.
This role will commence on or after 3 February 2025.
Responsibilities:Prepare financial reports including monthly statements and cash flow forecasts.Preparation and analysis of regular budgets including actual to variance.Provide advice to Executive Managers, Heads of Schools and Regional Managers on financial matters.Process and maintain supporting accounting programs including Prophix (budget and reporting), ExpenseMe Pro (credit card management) and MRI LeaseEagle/ProLease Express (leases).Provide advice to the Executive Manager Finance and CEO on all financial and legal aspects that could affect Indie Education's financial performance.Be responsible for all Indie Education financial administration documentation.Oversee team members as directed.Skills and Experience:Prior experience in accounting.Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent essential.Member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and/or CPA Australia (desirable).Experience in managing staff to achieve successful outcomes.Ability to work with executive staff to provide high level strategic advice and communicate complex information to a diverse stakeholder base.Experience in managing payroll function including advising on HR matters.Experience in either State duties, insurances, FBT and/or fleet management is advantageous.High-level organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously.Strong attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience working at a school (advantageous but not essential).Requirements:Current Australian Drivers LicenceAnnual National Police CheckWorking with Children's CheckRemuneration:A company laptop and phone is provided with this position.Salary packaging through Maxxia.Benefits of Indie:Attractive PBI Salary packaging is on offer through Maxxia.Uniform provided.Annual paid professional development and training with support and sufficient study time during work hours provided.15 days paid personal leave.Paid parental leave provisions.Company laptop and mobile phone provided.Access to an Employee Assistant Program.Locations all around Australia.To Apply:All applicants must submit a Cover Letter (no more than 2 pages) via Seek addressing the workplace tasking's for this role as listed above, along with a Resume.
