We encourage and support our staff in career advancement and opportunities to grow their skills.About the roleWe are looking for a full-time permanent assistant to join our family. As a Montessori Assistant Educator and an advocate for Montessori Education, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of our classrooms.This includes:Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in a clean and hygienic environment.Planning, aiding, and encouraging the growth of each child's independence according to the Montessori philosophy.Demonstrating a working knowledge and adhering to the EYLF + NQF.Being a positive role model to the children and fellow Educators in all aspects of the room, routines, and practices.Supervising children at all times, guiding and redirecting when necessary.Supporting all the children in the room and responding sensitively to their individual education, social, and emotional needs, treating all children equally and respectfully.Maintaining an orderly Montessori environment in which furnishings and materials are clean, complete, and appropriate to the developmental needs of the children.Qualifications and experienceCompletion of Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services (or approved equivalent), or be enrolled and actively completing a Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services.Preference will be given to applicants with a Montessori qualification; however, eagerness and willingness to participate in studies will be strongly considered. Quality training will be provided for the right candidate.Experience within the Early Childhood sector.Current First Aid and CPR certificates.Current Working with Children Check.A strong inclusive team member.Ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, articulate well verbally and in writing.If you think you have the potential, we would love to hear from you.
