Assistant Directors, Regulatory Practitioners - various (EL1) The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) is responsible for managing the application of bankruptcy and personal property securities laws through the delivery of high-quality personal insolvency and trustee, regulation and enforcement, and personal property securities services.
The Regulatory Operations Group is responsible for operations in Regulatory Services and Enforcement and Practitioner Surveillance. This work operationalizes AFSA's strategy, delivering integrated end-to-end regulatory services that support clients through AFSA systems and ensure compliance in line with AFSA's approach to regulation.
About the Roles The Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) is seeking skilled professionals to fill multiple (4) EL1 vacancies within the Regulatory Operations Group:
Assistant Director, Business Operations & Delivery : As the Assistant Director, you will support the division to maintain compliance and improve practices in the way the Official Receiver delivers its statutory functions as a regulatory steward of the insolvency system. Assistant Director NPII Assessment, Audit and Maintenance : You will be responsible for maintaining the National Personal Insolvency Index (NPII) and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation by auditing and reviewing both users and the data contained within the NPII. Assistant Director Targeted Harms : You will lead and manage a team in the development, consultation, delivery, and evaluation of regulatory operations, conducting advanced analytics and operational analysis. Qualifications and Experience While not essential, previous regulatory experience, insolvency, finance industry experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications would be well regarded. Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications include Law, Accounting, Commerce, Communications, Education, or relevant disciplines from an Australian tertiary institution (or comparable overseas institution).
