As the Assistant Director, Workforce Capability, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Workforce Strategy, uplifting our workforce's capability, and driving positive cultural change. We are looking for someone with exceptional employee engagement skills, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness.You will play an important role in promoting and driving a positive workplace culture. You will help refine and deliver a new workforce strategy, assist with developing a multi-year workforce capability implementation plan, and be responsible for managing many activities in the implementation plan.You will develop and manage workforce culture activities, professional development activities, recruitment and retention initiatives, and analyzing staff survey results and developing action plans to address areas for improvement. You may develop briefs, presentations, policies, or processes and provide secretariat support to workforce strategy governance forums.You will also manage a busy team member who is DDTS's manager for labour hire contractor processes and Contractor Central administration.Key challenges you will face in this newly established role include introducing or reinforcing new ways of working, streamlining and enhancing recruitment, onboarding and induction processes, developing strategies to upskill and retain our technology specialists, developing and managing initiatives that foster a culture of innovation and continual improvement, overcoming cultural resistance through the development of good working relationships across DDTS, and understanding the unique challenges faced by a large workforce of technology practitioners.This role is focused on delivering and improving strategic workforce capability for DDTS.
